Azure Virtual Desktop for an Azure Cloud-based Product

Project goal:

‍Build virtualized desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions in the Azure Cloud, based on Azure Virtual Desktop service.  

Accomplishments:  

• The solution support up to 150 users mainly in the Europe region and is able to scale up to support new users globally.
• Due to HIPAA compliance restrictions data has to be stored in the US, but the solution provide users with comfort work (speed, response).
• Implemented MFA to access virtual desktops for increased security
• Implemented centralized managed MDM solution for users that have corporate devices.
• Implemented VM image, app and user profile management processes
• Created process and enabled policies for VM/user data Backups
• HR system integration within AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) has been implemented. Users, virtual machines, VM policy configuration are created/blocked/terminated automatically according to event in HR system.
• Monitoring for AVD infrastructure has been implemented
